PTA

The Walled Lake Elementary PTA meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Walled Lake Elementary Learning Commons.

The Walled Lake Elementary PTA sponsors assemblies, family fun nights, pancake suppers, book fairs, popcorn days and much more. Fundraisers are sponsored by the PTA to help fund countless events. Parent volunteers chair the various committees that truly make the WLE PTA a success.

The objectives of the PTA during all of its undertakings include:

  • To promote the welfare of the children in the home, school and community
  • Raise the standards of home life
  • Secure adequate laws for protection of children
  • To bring a closer relationship between the home and the school
  • To develop between educators and the general public efforts that will secure advantages for children physically, mentally and socially

Reviewing and Updating our WLE PTA By-Laws

At our September 3rd meeting, we shared that we will need to submit our 2025 by-laws to the State of Michigan by the beginning of December. 

We will be discussing them at the October 7 meeting, specifically looking to see if we need to make any changes/updates/additions to them before voting at our November 5 meeting. Here are the 2022 by-laws for your reference and review.  We will also have paper copies at the meeting.

The Walled Lake Elementary PTA will be selling freshly popped popcorn again this year!

All Popcorn Friday dates can be found on the school calendar and calendar below.
 

We are offering two options this year:

  1.  Buy fresh popcorn $1 at a time by sending in cash the day of (with your child's name on it).
  2. Become a “Popcorn Pal” and pay one price of $16 (cash or online with card) for the entire school year.

If you are interested in prepaying, you need to complete the Popcorn Pal form and return it with $16 per child for the year. You can submit the form with:

**Please note - All prepayments must be turned in by Friday, September 26**

Resources

  • Event Tally Sheet - Used to count money after an event. Two people must count the money and sign the form. Give the money and Tally Sheet to the treasurer as soon as possible for deposit.

  • Expense Reimbursement Form -Complete to be reimbursed after making purchases for a PTA event.  Attach receipts, make a copy for your records and place in the PTA mailbox for reimbursement.
